Phoenix Union Station

Phoenix Union Station was built in 1923 by the Arizona Eastern Railroad Company and in 1926 the Sothern Pacific mainline open through Phoenix and the station was served by the Californian. In 1927 the Golden Gate and Sunset Limited train lines. directly after WWII, Phoenix Union Station was served by up to eighteen trains a day.

between 1971 and 1995 two Amtrak lines serviced the station, the Sunset Limited and Texas Eagle, after 1996 the Olympic Torch stopped there twice and the DrandLuxe tourist train occasionally uses the station.
