Las Vegas Station

Las Vegas Station was the main train station in Las Vegas from 1971 to 1997.

Las Vegas has had two stations in the same place at 100 South Main Street, Las Vegas Union Pacific Station and Union Plaza Hotel and Casino station.

Las Vegas Union Pacific Station was built in 1940 and was upgraded with neon lights in 1946. the station was demolished in 1971 to build Union Plaza Hotel and Casino station.

Union Plaza Hotel and Casino Station was built in 1971 to serve Amtrak's Desert Wind service, which ceased operation in 1997, leaving the station unused to this day.
