Amtrak Desert Wind

Amtrak's Desert Wind route once linked Los Angeles, California and Ogden, Utah from 1979 to 1997. The Desert Wind and the Pioneer would connect to the California Zephyr in Salt Lake City, Utah (Which the line was shortened from Ogden to in 1983.) making the California Zephyr the longest Amtrak train at the time when it departed eastward from Salt Lake City.
