Abraham Lincoln (Train)
The Abraham Lincoln was a train line run by the Baltimore & Ohio Railway from 1935 to the 1960s between Chicago and St. Louis. The train later passed to the Gulf, Mobile and Ohio Railroad until 1971 when it was handed over to Amtrak, which ran it under the name of the "Lincoln Service", it was the first streamlined service between Chicago and St. Louis, with intermediate stops, and passengers got a glimpse of the Mississippi Between Alton and St. Louis

Skykomish Great Northern Depot
Thanks to Japerdo for inspiring me to make this post.
The Great Northern Depot in Skykomish, Washington was built in 1894 by the Great Northern Railway, it's location was on the south side of the tracks at 5th street, until 1922 when it as moved to the north side of the tracks on 4th street.
The station was in use from 1894 to the 1950s. And in the 1970s the Great Northern Railway was merged into the Burlington Northern Railroad.
The depot - much like many stations I've posted about before - was put on the national register for historic places, as one of the only Great Northern depots still in Washington and for its association for the development of Washington.

Southern Pacific's Daylight
Southern Pacific's Daylight ran under Southern Pacific from 1922 to 1971, running a 13-hour schedule between San Fransisco and Los Angeles.
In its first years of 1922 and 1923, it only ran seasonally between April and November. Daily service began in July of 1923, and in 1924 SP shortened the run to 12 hours. Until the late 1920s the Daylight made no intermediate stops and was the longest nonstop run in the world at the time.
After 1955 the Daylights were running Diesel, long after most other streamlined lines had switched over.

Amtrak Desert Wind
Amtrak's Desert Wind route once linked Los Angeles, California and Ogden, Utah from 1979 to 1997. The Desert Wind and the Pioneer would connect to the California Zephyr in Salt Lake City, Utah (Which the line was shortened from Ogden to in 1983.) making the California Zephyr the longest Amtrak train at the time when it departed eastward from Salt Lake City.
The Desert Wind replaced Union Pacific's City of Los Angeles

Phoenix Union Station
Phoenix Union Station was built in 1923 by the Arizona Eastern Railroad Company and in 1926 the Sothern Pacific mainline open through Phoenix and the station was served by the Californian. In 1927 the Golden Gate and Sunset Limited train lines. directly after WWII, Phoenix Union Station was served by up to eighteen trains a day.
between 1971 and 1995 two Amtrak lines serviced the station, the Sunset Limited and Texas Eagle, after 1996 the Olympic Torch stopped there twice and the DrandLuxe tourist train occasionally uses the station.

Las Vegas Station
Las Vegas Station was the main train station in Las Vegas from 1971 to 1997.
Las Vegas has had two stations in the same place at 100 South Main Street, Las Vegas Union Pacific Station and Union Plaza Hotel and Casino station.
Las Vegas Union Pacific Station was built in 1940 and was upgraded with neon lights in 1946. the station was demolished in 1971 to build Union Plaza Hotel and Casino station.

Boise Union Pacific Depot
Boise Union Pacific Depot was the active train station for Boise, Idaho from 1925 to 1997.
From 1925 to 1971 the station was served by the Union Pacific's Portland Rose and The City of Portland train lines and after May 1st, 1971 it was left with no train line until 1977 with Amtrak's Pioneer route which serviced Boise until 1997.
Since 1997 Boise Union Pacific Depot has had no train line service it, in 1993 it was renovated and is now owned by the City of Boise.
The station is also home to UP2295 AKA 'Big Mike'.
Boise Union Pacific Depot was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 7th, 1974, as the Union Pacific Mainline Depot.
